PricewaterhouseCoopers Jamaica appoints Executive Director - Advisory Services

Kingston, Jamaica, 1 July 2008 - In pursuit of its strategy of providing a full suite of services in the areas of Assurance, Advisory and Tax to the Jamaican business community and Government through the deployment of a multi-disciplinary cadre of partners and professional staff, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) today announced the appointment of Mr. Adrian C. Tait as Executive Director of Advisory Services, with effect from 1 July 2008.

Mr.Tait specialises in Performance Improvement and will assist in strengthening PwC’s growing Advisory practice.

“There is an increasing awareness among Jamaican businesses that to be globally competitive, organizational, human capital and operating processes have to be world class and this step is a response to an increase in the demand for services in the area of Performance Improvement” said Everton McDonald, Territory Senior Partner.

Adrian Tait joined PwC in its Advisory practice as a trainee consultant in March 1992 and displayed from the outset, an incisive analytical mind and a solutions-oriented approach. He attained the position of Manager in 1999. At the time of his appointment on 01 July, he was the Director responsible for Performance Improvement.

During his professional career with the firm, Adrian has managed many important consultancy assignments in the public and private sectors within Jamaica and the broader Caribbean covering financial services, utilities and large infrastructural projects. His project management expertise has been utilized as far away as Vietnam, where he designed a performance management system for 5000 state owned enterprises in 2002.

Adrian holds a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Accounting from the University of the West Indies (UWI) conferred in 1990 and 1993 respectively and was a lecturer in the Department of Management Studies,
(UWI-Mona; 1993-1997) and in the Computer Studies Department (University of Technology: 1996-1999).

He also has over the years, participated in numerous training seminars both locally and internationally, within and outside of PwC.

Adrian is an active proponent of the Credit Union movement and currently serves as a Director on the Board.
