Lessons from Lehmans

During November, Channel Islands finance professionals had a rare opportunity to hear first hand about the challenges the administration team dealt with at Lehmans and get under the skin of the issues uncovered. From prime broker contracts, the complexity of traded instruments, to appropriate remuneration policies for executive management teams, Tony Lomas, Partner at PwC UK shared lessons learnt. PricewaterhouseCoopers was appointed as administrators of the UK Lehman businesses led by Tony, who continues to take the senior role on this assignment. He gave suggestions to attendees of this seminar on good housekeeping lessons for all FS organisations, particular lessons for subsidiaries and insights into interaction between onshore and offshore regulators.
