Adie is based in the Guernsey office of PwC CI. He joined the firm as a trainee accountant in 1999 after gaining an Honours degree in Accountancy at Bournemouth University.
With a primary focus on providing core assurance services, Adie has built up a wealth of knowledge and experience across all financial services sectors. A secondment to the Canadian firm helped Adie develop a valuable global perspective on the market and deepen his skills: Adie moved to Toronto 2005 as a Manager working within the Insurance and Investment Management Group, on one of PwC Canada’s most high profile global clients. Adie returned to the CI firm in 2007 as Senior Manager, helping clients within the alternative asset management (specifically property and infrastructure funds), private banking and captive insurance sectors.
Within the PwC network Adie is the primary Channel Islands Captive insurance contact; he is a key ambassador for Guernsey Captives on the PwC UK Captive Strategy Group and provides specific local advice on Global PwC insurance projects.
Adie's extensive network and his ability to foster collaborative dynamic relationships allows him to bring the best of the PwC Network and its people to his local clients, providing innovative bespoke solutions to both their everyday and strategic challenges.
Adie’s a well known face in Guernsey due to his association with both business and sport. An Old Elizabethan, he regularly plays for the island hockey team, a passion he shares with his wife, Joanne. They also have two daughters, Canadian born Amy and Jessica who was born closer to home.
The competitive environment in which PwC and its clients operate continues to change. Adie will add real value as he supports and collaborates with his clients to help ensure they evolve with this changing landscape and thrive. He is also committed to doing all he can to help the Channel Islands remain agile and maintain their status as an exemplar for global best practices.
