Phil Morris

Phil is a senior manager and advises his clients on all areas of indirect taxation with a focus on VAT.

Phil has worked in a Big 4 / Top 10 environment for over 14 years and has spent time working both in the UK and offshore.

Although specialising in UK and Isle of Man taxation, Phil has experience of dealing with EU VAT matters and international tax issues in a range of other jurisdictions. This includes advice on tax efficient yacht and aircraft ownership structures.  His clients currently include those in both the financial and non-financial sector including offshore banks, asset ownership structures as well as local companies and e-businesses as well as working with a number of Corporate Service Providers to provide advice to their clients on onshore / offshore structures and the issues that arise.

Phil has previously worked on clients in a diverse range of areas ranging from software, technology and telecommunications to real estate and automotive and manufacturing industries.  Phil also has experience in advising on M&A and corporate restructuring issues, international trade and cross border matters.  He has worked extensively with clients on matters involving discussion/negotiation with HM Revenue & Customs and Isle of Man Customs & Excise.

Phil is a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation
