Assaf Shemer is the Assurance Leader at PwC Israel and a member of the Executive Board of the Israeli firm.

Assaf joined the Israeli firm in 1977 and has an extensive experience in transaction support activities and due diligence projects assisting clients in acquiring companies and businesses in Israel and abroad.

Assaf has been involved with numerous public offerings in the US and previously was involved with various financial institutions, including Bank Hapoalim B.M (before the bank was privatized) and Nessua Zannex (currently known as Excellence).  

Amongst the clients he served are Teva Pharmaceuticals industries Ltd., Orbotech Ltd., Orckit Communications Ltd., Ormat industries Ltd. and others.

Assaf is a member of the board of "Friends of Gesher Thearter".

He holds a Bachelor´s degree in Accounting and Economics awarded by Tel-Aviv University and a MBA degree from New York University.

Assaf is qualified as a Certified Public Accountant in Israel and in United States.
