Munro O'Dwyer Munro is a director in the Pensions Group in Ireland, and is a current holder of a Scheme Actuary certificate. His role combines statutory actuarial advice, pension accounting and investment consulting advice. Munro has worked on the pensions aspects of a large range of transactions - from both a vendor and purchaser point of view. He provides actuarial assistance in the audit of pension disclosures in company accounts as well as providing advice to clients on pension planning – in light of the effect pension scheme costs have on their accounts. Munro has assisted a large number of clients in appropriately accounting for pension commitments under both IFRS and Irish GAAP, and is a participant in the PricewaterhouseCoopers Eurofirm pension network, which focuses on current and potential future changes to pension accounting rules. With recent investment market falls, Munro has been assisting a wide range of clients in managing the cost and volatility inherent in their defined benefit pension scheme arrangements. Munro is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland and is a member of a number of the Society's subcommittees. |
