I graduated from UCD with a Bachelor of Commerce, after which I went the Graduate route with another large practice and gained both professional accounting (ACA) & tax qualifications (AITI). At the end of my training period I joined the PricewaterhouseCoopers Tax Department in 1997. After five years with the firm I was promoted to Director with the Consumer Industrial Product group. In 2004 I left PricewaterhouseCoopers to work on other projects.
My decision to return to PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2007 was actually prompted by an approach from another Big 4 firm. After much thought I felt it would be best for me both personally & professionally to return to a place where I had established myself and had very strong links, not to mention somewhere where I really enjoyed working. In addition to this I knew that the breadth of the service and the depth of industry knowledge that PricewaterhouseCoopers had to offer would make for a diversity of client assignments, knowledge-sharing and work experience. This in turn would provide me wide exposure and create opportunities for career and professional development that would be hard to find elsewhere.
My choice was certainly the right one. My work is challenging yet enjoyable and I have found everyone to be very welcoming since my return. I am delighted to be back with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
