My background is in Food Science and Technology. Having obtained a Bachelor of Science from UCC I later completed a Masters in Technology Management from the Smurfit School of Business. I have about 16 years industry experience, working in a Co-op, a large multinational and now with PwC.

My work in PwC is within the Strategy Group working with clients in the Food and Agri-Business sectors. We advise clients on growth opportunities through market penetration, market development, and diversification, helping them to evaluate the size of the opportunity and develop strategic plans to execute opportunities. We also help clients who want to undertake strategic reviews at the corporate level by facilitating their strategic planning process and helping them formulate the strategic direction for their businesses.

The opportunity of working in an environment where commercial focus is central to decision making is what excites me most about strategy and working with PwC.

One of the assignments I have worked on involved advising a client on investment opportunities in South America. The scope of which considered a range of issues such as political stability, the macroeconomic situation and the industry structure within the region. We have carried out similar assignments in other regions including Asia and Eastern Europe.

For me working with PwC has brought my career to a new level in terms of operating at the strategic decision making level. It also provides a fantastic opportunity to work across a number of client companies.
