Tax and Legal Services
Main Task
To develop and run a program that is responsive to business needs and is regarded as excellent by the practice. The HCD Manager/Assistant Manager will receive close guidance and supervision from TLS (Tax and Legal Services) HCD Partner. S(he) also has a key working relationship with the Central HCD team.
Principal responsibilities
1. Development/adaptation of material
- provides training design input on development/update or adaptation of course; project manages design where required, including coordination of materials, and liaison with subject matter experts (practice managers) as appropriate
- develop curriculum document for inclusion in the HCD database
- liaises with global counterparts and relevant global/cluster relationship managers to keep up to date on global TLS and/or cluster/territory plans
- implementation of graduate, vacationer program with the assistance of HC team
- proactive liaison with coach for each industry to provide information on course content and eligibility.
2. Instructing
- select appropriate instructors and make sure that they are properly trained, briefed and prepared
- instruct or co-instruct on courses where necessary
3. Evaluation (this will be done with the assistance of the HCD administrator)
- summarise participant course assessments, prepare summary course report and assess needs to redesign material
- review attendance list and advised staff’s coach for absences
4. Administration (this will be done with the assistance of the HCD administrator)
- oversee all administration matters necessary to ensure the course runs effectively.
- keeps up to date on HCD policies, including cancellations and process for course approvals and discusses any issues with the HCD Partner where necessary
- answers queries and acts as a point of contact for TLS staff; provides advice on eligibility for courses where requested and passes queries to appropriate contacts
- keeps up to date on record of Brevet certification status in the database for all professional staff
Decision making/Authority
The HCD Manager has full authority to put in place all steps to make a course happen, once the program and course priorities have been finalized and approved. (S)he should always keep in mind that the HCD Department is here to support the practice, and therefore it is essential that there be constant communication with the practice managers and partners.
Eligibility
- Currently at Manager level or an experienced AM
- Great passion to develop HCD in TLS.
