Advisory Services - Transaction Services

What did you like most about your Line of Service?
I spent my early years with PwC in Assurance services, and then moved to Advisory. Initially, I had no idea what Advisory was all about. However, in PwC we believe that new challenges and experiences are essential in giving us chances to learn and develop ourselves continuously. After various assignments such as due diligence, financial modeling, restructuring, valuation and others, I learnt to visualize and bring all the consulting, commercial and audit tasks together. I’ve learnt to deal with the future, present and past of our clients’ business and to deliver only excellent results. In addition, as the market keeps on improving, more challenging jobs are pouring in. There is no boring-day working in PwC.

What kind of challenges do you need to meet? Who helps you in meeting those challenges?
We must ensure that we deliver the best service quality to our clients. In order to achieve that, we should always strive to update our technical skills and learn new regulations. Luckily in PwC people work together. We share and collaborate with our seniors, juniors, peers, coaches. Even colleagues from other LoS are only too willing to give their very best support. I find great teamwork here.

How would you describe people development at PwC Indonesia?
PwC Indonesia adopts the high standards of PwC Global. We have well-developed people development system to ensure that all employees are taken care of and given independence to design their own career path. PwC roles as facilitator and supervisor make sure that we progress in both ‘hard’ and business skills and become true leaders.

Why did you choose PwC as a place to start you career?
Starting my career in PwC provides me with big opportunities working on many large and high profile assignments. This allows me to put all the theories I learned at college into practice and broaden my views on how those big enterprises are run. With time I walked through the journey of cumulating knowledge in various industries. The learning process at PwC is thorough and you never stop learning. There are on-the-job learning, classroom trainings and lots of coaching experiences. After my first three and a half years with the firm, I took a break and moved to commercial firm for a while. Although the people and the environment were nice I realized that I did not see myself there for long-term. I missed the work and the people at PwC, and after six months I returned to PwC.
