Why did you choose PwC to start you career?
When I was at the university, I heard that PwC is the number one public accounting firm among the Big Four. Later, I knew that PwC has great values of integrity, nice working environment and reasonable working hours. PwC is also very competitive, offering many challenges and I have a clear career path here.

What effort did you have to make to achieve your current position?

I kept assuring myself that every target schedule and deadline was met timely. I always strived to refresh and update my technical skills. I made efforts to learn new accounting standards and gain knowledge from my seniors.

Who are the people who have been your great support in overcoming challenges?

A lot of people here help me in overcoming problems at work. They are my superiors, coaches, and peers. My peers support each other without any competition concern. Colleagues from other lines of service/departments also help me in solving specific cases such as Tax, Risk Management, etc. Sometimes I can also discuss issues with the Learning and Education (L&E) department if I face difficulties in training materials and their application.

How do you balance your commitment to the firm and your clients while maintaining your self commitment and personal needs?

During
busy periods where I need to devote most of my time for the firm, there is little time for myself. But during the low season I have more time to focus on my personal life. In short, I still manage to enjoy time with my family, hang out with friends or even take vacations.

In addition to being a work place, what is PwC like?
Here I can find colleagues of my age range that share similar interests and this enables us to get along well.

What is the one piece of advice you would give someone who is considering a career at PwC?

Just be prepared for new challenges, because you will be engaged in varied roles in each assignment and you will be expected to develop yourself continuously.
