Why did you choose PwC to start your career?
I chose PwC because I think it is the best public accounting firm among the Big Four. It is an honor for me to work at PwC. In my perspective, PwC gives me a promising career in the long term and an equal balance of work satisfaction and remuneration. As long as I work hard and perform my best, I can definitely develop my career here. In addition, PwC has only a three month probation period and does not apply contract system, therefore provides work certainty. Those were good reasons to start my career here.

What surprised you most about working at PwC?
All the people here are very warm and friendly; they always welcome newcomers. Even my seniors were very kind to me when I was new here. This culture creates no gap between juniors and seniors. We can even easily discuss any issue with managers up to partners. Seniors always give us clear guidance and are willing to teach us new knowledge. Another thing that surprised me is that PwC puts a great emphasis on developing each employee. A lot of training is available at PwC including PPAK and Brevet programs, and all these trainings are provided to employees at the firm’s cost. Bottom line, PwC is the right place to work.

What kind of work did you do when you started your career here?
My first tasks were to translate tax returns, prepare ETR, calculate Art. 21 income tax and vouching for tax audit. But my first big project was to deal with employee income tax return for a retail compressor company.

What do you like most about your line of service?
We have many varieties of projects, and believe me, it won’t bore you because we always find new things to do and learn each day. Besides, it maintains a conductive team work atmosphere with every body supporting each other.

Besides your work, what is PwC like as a place to work?
We really enjoy fun stuffs besides our work; we usually hang out for dinner or watch movies together. PwC also holds several enjoyable events, such as year-end party, soccer championship, chamber music, and much more. We also have celebrations after the completion of big projects and hold gatherings per division.

What do you think about the transition from college to work?

The biggest transition lies in the responsibility. In college, I was only responsible for myself. At work, I have responsibility for my job, my clients, my colleagues, and also for upholding the firm’s reputation.

What is the most important thing you have learned in your career at PwC?

Success does not happen overnight. It takes time to be successful in this firm. To succeed I need hard work and commitment. Only then can I develop my career at PwC.
