Sustainability and Climate Change (S&CC)

General qualifications:

  • Has Bachelor degree or Master degree with GPA minimum 3.00 out of 4.00
  • Has solid experience in similar position.
    • Associates: A fresh graduate up until 2 years
    • Senior Associates: 3 – 5 years
    • Assistant Manager: 5 – 6 years
    • Manager: minimum 6 years
    • Senior Manager: minimum 8 years
  • Good awareness of the concepts of corporate sustainability and green growth
  • High level of competence with excel and other computational analysis tools
  • Good adaptability in dynamic working environment.
  • Eyes for details.
  • Strong analytical, project management and report writing skills.
  • Good team player and enjoy working collaboratively with people from variety of backgrounds.
  • Assertive and active personality with a strong communication skill.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

 

1. Sustainability and Climate Change - Generalist Associate (S&CC ASSO)

What you’d do?

As Generalist Associate in S&CC division, you will responsible to:

  • Apply your analytical skills and knowledge of sustainability issues in Indonesia in a range of contexts; contributing to data gathering, analysis and providing inputs on recommendations within a range of projects, including public policy, market mechanisms for conservation and sustainable land use (e.g. REDD+), supply chains analysis and strategy development for private sector companies.
  • Work alongside clients in a range of sectors including: Energy, mining forestry, agriculture, consumer goods, logistics, telecoms and infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the development of cutting-edge thought leadership on current environmental and sustainable development themes
  • Support project economics and administration
  • Support the team with business development and client relationship activities
  • Build your knowledge, skills and expertise

 

Specific qualifications:

  • Has Bachelor degree or Master Degree in a technical subject area; eg engineering, the sciences, economics, accountancy or ecology
  • Knowledge and/or practical experience of market mechanisms for conservation (e.g. REDD+) .

 

2. Sustainability and Climate Change - Environmental Economist Associate (S&CC EA)

What you’d do?

As Environmental Economist Associate in S&CC division, you will responsible to:

  • Apply your analytical skills and economics knowledge in a range of contexts; contributing to data gathering, analysis and  providing inputs on recommendations within a range of projects, including Indonesia and international public policy, market mechanisms for conservation, private sector strategy development and impact analysis
  • Contribute to the development of cutting-edge thought leadership  on current environmental and sustainable development themes
  • Support project economics and administration
  • Support the team with business development and client relationship activities
  • Build your knowledge, skills and expertise

 

Specific qualifications:

  • Has Bachelor degree or Master Degree in environmental, ecological or natural resource economics with a strong undergrad in economics, geography or natural sciences or equivalent
  • Previous experience within industry, consultancy, NGO or public sector practising applied environmental economics will be an advantage
  • Strong technical understanding and practical experience using non-market valuation techniques

 

3. Sustainability and Climate Change – Land Use and Forestry Associate (S&CC LF)

What you’d do?

As Land Use and Forestry Associate in S&CC division, you will responsible to:

  • Apply your analytical skills and knowledge of land use and forestry issues in Indonesia in a range of contexts; contributing to data gathering, analysis and providing inputs on recommendations within a range of projects, including forestry and land use public policy, market mechanisms for conservation and sustainable land use (e.g. REDD+), forestry and agriculture supply chains analysis and strategy development for private sector companies in involved in agriculture and forestry operations
  • Contribute to the development of cutting-edge thought leadership on current environmental and sustainable development themes
  • Support project economics and administration
  • Support the team with business development and client relationship activities
  • Build your knowledge, skills and expertise

 

Specific qualifications:

  • Either a Master Degree or Bachelor degree in forestry and land use change, natural resource economics, environmental management or a related subject
  • Preferably has experience in developing or consulting on REDD+/forest carbon projects; sustainable commodities supply chains and working with sustainability standards such as FSC and RSPO
