MagyarNew Multinational company in Győr - Mayor Zsolt Borkai welcomes PwC in Győr
2 February 2011 Zsolt Borkai, the mayor of the city of Győr welcomed George Johnstone, the CEO of the Hungarian office of PwC for a personal meeting on the occasion of PwC opening its first office outside of Budapest in Győr in the summer of 2011.
It is the first time when PricewaterhouseCoopers Ltd(PwC), one of the leading international business consulting firms is opening an office outside of Budapest. This initiative was welcomed by Zsolt Borkai on a personal meeting held in the municipality of Győr
"As a Mayor I am proud that a multinational company like PwC that has been well recognized in Győr as well for a long time, is opening an independent office in our city. I see the success of our economic policies in this initiative: the quickly evolving city of Győr provides great opportunities for companies that are able to and willing to take part in the development of our economy. I hope that the competence of PwC will contribute to the success of several businesses in Győr and their presence in our city will benefit us all.
PwC, one of the leading audit, tax consulting and consulting firms has been present in Hungary for 20 years. In the past two decades it has been a prominent player that contributed to the settling and growth of several international companies in Hungary (including Győr) and to the development of many Hungarian businesses. By doing so, it has contributed to the dynamic development of the Hungarian economy.
On the meeting, George Johnstone, the CEO of PwC explained: "PwC is proud of its achievements and of its leading role in the industry.
