New director appointments at PwC Hungary

PwC Hungary is proud to announce the appointment of three new directors: Barbara Koncz, Péter Selmeci and Miklós Zaránd will serve in their new roles in the Tax Advisory and Advisory service lines from 1 October 2017.

Barbara Koncz

 

Barbara Koncz (38) joined PwC Hungary’s tax advisory team in 2008. Her major area of expertise is value-added tax advisory, but she also has extensive experience in research and development-related benefits and in R&D qualification procedures. Before joining PwC, she worked at the Ministry for Economy and Transport and at ITDH Zrt., where she was responsible for investment promotion and state subsidies. Her main clients are important players in the automotive, information technology and pharmaceutical industries whom she assists with both taxation and state aid-related issues. Barbara graduated from Eötvös Loránd University’s Faculty of Law, and she earned an undergraduate degree in economics from Széchenyi István University. She is a certified tax advisor. In her free time she enjoys backpacking in faraway countries.

Péter Selmeci

Péter Selmeci (41) joined PwC Hungary’s Advisory practice in 2009, where he has participated in the transformation of several Hungarian and multinational companies. His main areas of expertise include corporate strategy development, operation review, efficiency improvement and program management. He is leading the Core Consulting practice at PwC Hungary. Péter has an MSc in International Business Management and in Business Law from the University of Pécs. In addition to his daily duties, he regularly leads training courses. He has three sons, and his hobbies are hiking, jogging, skiing and cycling with his family.

Miklós Zaránd

 

Miklós Zaránd (38) is the leader of PwC Hungary’s Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) Advisory team. He assists his clients mainly in designing business transformation projects, and provides support focusing on client management. Before joining PwC, he worked at Accenture for seven years on multinational systems integration projects, and gained experience with demand management and as a project manager. Miklós has a degree in electrical engineering from Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), and also has PMP, CMMI, Amdocs CRM and Salesforce qualifications. In addition to his day-to-day tasks, he is involved in talent management, training and coaching, and he is responsible for employee engagement in Advisory. His favourite pastimes are surfing and spending time with his daughter and wife.
