Global Diversity & Inclusion Council

Acting on our commitment to diversity & Inclusion at PwC

We established the Global Gender Advisory Council (GAC) in 2006 to educate and raise awareness around the business case for better female retention and development across all territories. While gender diversity remains a priority, the GAC evolved to become the Global Diversity & Inclusion Council in 2011. This expanded scope recognises our ongoing commitment to building the broader cultural dexterity of our people. The Council is an action-and results-oriented advisory group who provides advice and assistance to the sponsor of the council, PwC’s Global Chairman, Dennis M. Nally.

With members from PwC firms around the world, the Council's objectives are aimed at:

  1. Educating and raising awareness of the business case for diversity, in particular better focus on the attraction, retention and advancement of high potential diverse staff across all member firms;
  2. Sharing and communicating best practices, both internal and external;
  3. Researching, identifying and recommending specific global diversity and inclusion actions and initiatives; and
  4. Defining accountability – reinforcing a diverse and inclusive culture by recommending, measuring and reporting on diversity and inclusion measures to sustain progress and success.
