Ulysses participants are selected from the ranks of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)partners around the world on the basis of their leadership skills and potential withinthe local firm.

• Participants are PwC partners in their first ten years of partnership.
• Participants originate from different regions and countries.
• Their expertise varies across accounting and finance, strategy, tax advisory andmanagement consultancy.

Ulysses is designed for top performers with a keen interest in further developingtheir leadership capability through participation in a demanding programme.

Many Ulysses participants are high-performing women. The programme is a key part of PwC'scommitment to retaining and developing female talent into positions of leadership, aninitiative which is led globally by the Gender Advisory Council.The two programmes are closely connected: Global CEO Sam DiPiazza also serves on theGlobal Private Sector Leaders Advisory Council for the World Bank Group's Gender Action Plan, which sponsored a 2008 Ulysses project in Tanzania.
