South Korea leads Asia on greenhouse gas legislation

South Korea leads the way for Asia being the first country to introduce a greenhouse gas emissions trading scheme, from 2015. It’s designed to help reduce the country’s gas emissions by 30% by 2020, green its fossil fuel dependent industries and foster clean technology innovation – and evidences its commitment to the green growth agenda and to use the transition to a low carbon economy to accelerate economic growth.
