The client’s challenge


Our client, a leading mail/parcel and logistics company, was considering the divestiture of its business, which included over 200 sites for mail and parcel delivery. As part of their preparation, the client asked PricewaterhouseCoopers to determine if any environmental “deal-breakers” might arise during the course of a deal.

  • Undertook over 200 desktop reviews and 40 site visits
  • Identified the primary risk to be fuel storage at depot sites
  • Advised on the preparation of disclosure information

The outcome


PricewaterhouseCoopers’ advice enabled the client to identify an appropriate deal position and maintain adequate “control” of the deal process. The actual deal was conducted smoothly and relatively quickly.
