The issue

The client is a South American company that builds wind farms. A large wind farm was being constructed in an area that didn’t previously have access to electrical power. The developer needed a partner who could handle the trading of the emissions credits that would be created with this project.

• Establishing the baseline emissions and reductions;
• Receiving agreement from the government and the Clean Development Mechanism executive; and
• Selling the credits on the market.
