The issue
The client was seeking an international adviser that could assess the carbon credit potential of its global portfolio and help develop a carbon asset management strategy.
Our approach
PricewaterhouseCoopers undertook a detailed analysis and ranking of the carbon credit and renewable energy credit potential associated with the client’s portfolio of landfill gas projects. Based on the results of the ranking and a custom market study, PricewaterhouseCoopers recommended that the client adopt an asset monetisation strategy.
The outcome
Significant credit-generation opportunities were identified. PricewaterhouseCoopers is now helping the client structure and market the joint implementation and clean development mechanism transactions identified through this project.
