The issue
Our client, a leading international food and beverage equipment manufacturing business, was considering the divestiture of its business, which included over 60 manufacturing sites worldwide. As part of their preparation, the client asked PricewaterhouseCoopers to undertake an environmental review of their business.
Our approach
PricewaterhouseCoopers' environmental health and safety and due diligence specialists:
- Undertook environmental desktop reviews of all sites
- Undertook 45 site visits including facilities in Thailand, UK, US, Canada, China, Spain and Australia
- Identified risks in relation to future EU directives on disposal of electrical equipment and removal of ozone depleting substances.
The outcome
With the analysis provided by the PricewaterhouseCoopers team, the client was able to provide the appropriate and complete due diligence information to prospective purchasers.
