Democratising Commissioning - Recommendations for the future
In the current fiscal climate, commissioning is in the spotlight. Public service leaders in central and local government are thinking hard about how commissioning can help withy the struggle to reduce budgets. We recently explored this issue through a roundtable in conjunction with the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations (ACEVO).
The roundtable engaged government commissioners, private sector and voluntary sector providers on key issues relating to the future of the commissioning of public services. This publication shares our ideas and recommendations for new Ministers and senior public leaders, around how to democratise commissioning and put people and communities at the heart of, and in control of, their services.
