Delivering a National Care Fund: How would a public-private partnership work?

Delivering a National Care Fund: How would a public-private partnership work?is the fifth in a ten part series from the Strategic Society Centre, with support from PwC, alongside BUPA, Age UK and Tunstall.  This series is exploring practical solutions for financing social care in the UK.

This report, from the Strategic Society Centre sets out a new model for how the state and financial services industry might work in partnership to fund social care.  This proposed delivery model is built around a state-sponsored insurance scheme, or National Care Fund, that is administered and underwritten by the financial services industry.

This report aims to answer the question: could a National Care Fund be operated and underwritten by the private sector?  And how would such a public-private partnership operate?
