Aid for Trade - an initiative by the World Trade Organization WTO - aims at helping developing countries to expand their foreign trade and to acquire the trade-related skills. Are these efforts being successful? Does "Aid for Trade" offer a way out of the crisis? PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) analyses these questions in its study "Aid for Trade: making trade effective for development" focusing on Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda as examples. The study was prepared in association with the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI).
