Christopher Kelkar

Christopher Kelkar (Chris) was appointed the Global Strategy and Transformation Leader on September 1, 2009. Prior to his current role, Chris was the Strategy Leader and International Liaison of PricewaterhouseCoopers’s US firm since July 2007. He had been the co-leader of PwC's Fraud, Risk & Controls (FR&C) practice in the US (based in Los Angeles) from July 2002 to June 2007. He is, by background, a Forensics and Investigation partner. Chris has served numerous public and private companies in both the US and abroad as well as consulting for governments regarding anti-corruption programs.

Chris joined the firm in Washington, DC in 1993 and in 1994 transferred to the Los Angeles office. From 1999 through 2002, he served a tour with the firm's Global Chairman's Office in New York before returning to Los Angeles to co-lead the FR&C practice. In 2007, Chris returned to New York to take on his role with the US Leadership Team.

Chris was admitted to the US partnership in 2002.

Chris is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of CPAs. He has served on various non-for-profit charitable organization boards within the past 10 years and is a member of the Transparency International's Business Principles Steering Committee.

Chris holds a Master's degree in business administration from UCLA in 1999 (Harold M. Williams Fellow) and a Bachelor's of Arts degree in economics from Oberlin College in 1992.
