Global Transformation Leader

Michael (Mike) Burwell was appointed as PwC's Global Transformation leader in October 2012. He works with strategy, operations, and alignment leaders to ensure that PwC is at the leading edge of developments that continue to enhance value for clients by delivering quality service across all areas of business and countries.

In addition to this role, Mike serves as Transformation leader for PwC US and is Vice Chairman, and a member of the the PwC US Leadership Team.

He was previously the Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer for PwC US where he applied his 25 years of experience executing on a variety of integration efforts Mike also oversaw a diverse group of internal functions including Human Capital, Finance, Technology, Knowledge Management, and Global Strategic Sourcing.

Mike joined the PwC US firm in the Assurance practice focused on Business Advisory Services. He held several leadership positions, including PwC US Transaction Services Leader. Before this, Mike was the Central Region Transaction Services Leader for PwC US and prior to that Transaction Services Leader for the PwC US Automotive Industry practice.

Mike was admitted to the partnership of PwC US in 1997 in Detroit. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a degree in accounting from Michigan State University.
