A comparison of US GAAP and IFRS for investment companies


This publication is the 2008 update of our guide for those who wish to gain a general understanding of the key similarities and differences between International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America (US GAAP) as they are applicable specifically to investment companies.

The first chapter of this publication summarises the similarities and differences between IFRS and US GAAP as they affect investment companies, and the subsequent chapters explain these differences in greater detail.
