Bert has more than 15 years' experience in consulting, and during this time has built international experience in Business Strategy and Performance Improvement in areas like client service, logistics, financial management and systems implementations.
His work on ‘start-ups’ and fundamental restructuring of various organisations and companies in Belgium, Europe and Asia spans various sectors including automotive, railways, airlines, postal services, telecom, utilities, and many others.
Before he started with Shell in 1986, during which time he worked on the rationalisation of the Benelux distribution network, Bert was assistant professor of Industrial Economics at the University of Leuven. Between 2002 and 2005, he was COO and Executive Director of Roularta Media Group -- a 500m EUR Belgian media company active in several European countries -- where he implemented a strong European expansion strategy and realised an important turnaround for the company.
As partner, Bert has held and currently holds several leadership positions, while applying not only a "what to do" but a "how to do it" attitude as an important driver for working with clients at all levels.
