Summary of expertise

  • Rick is PwC's global automotive leader and U.S. automotive assurance leader. He has served a number of public and multinational companies, including a Fortune 10 company and Fortune 50 company as global engagement partner.

Rick has extensive expertise in the automotive industry having worked with both automakers and suppliers with their SEC reporting matters, preparation of financial statements prepared in accordance with international accounting standards, and development of international standard governance policies and practices. He has also assisted clients develop and implement policies and practices related to Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Rick spent two years in PwC's London office and later served as the partner-in-charge of the firm's Russian audit and business advisory practice, where he was responsible for people development and the development of the Russian audit practice. Rick also served as the global engagement partner for several major Russian international entities during Russia's privatization period. Upon his return to the U.S. and until his relocation to Detroit, he served as the office managing partner in Peoria, Illinois, USA. He has also served as a member of the firm's strategy committee and extended leadership team in 2006 and 2007.

Rick earned a Master of Arts degree in accounting from Illinois Wesleyan University. His professional affiliations include: American Institute of Certified Accountants, Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, and Illinois CPA Society.
