Each year PwC runs its Global Energy, Utilities & Mining conference, bringing together over 500 partners and managers from our global practice, representing more than 60 countries. The 2010 conference took place in Istanbul, Turkey under the theme of "An ambitious agenda: energy, utilities and mining in a world of change".
Participants had the opportunity to hear first hand from top executives and experts from companies and organisations what are the major current and future challenges faced by these sectors.

As part of our involvement and cooperation with the International Energy Agency (IEA), we are launching the global webcast with Dr. Fatih Birol, IEA Chief Economist, based on his keynote speech at our conference in Istanbul. Dr. Birol presented the just newly published 2010 World Energy Outlook (WEO).
