Organisation-driven strategies: Business networks

Business networks in which companies bring together groups of individuals or entities to cooperate based on common interests, principles or objectives to create value are becoming more commonplace worldwide. These networks include communities of practice, networks of suppliers, outsourcing arrangements, joint ventures and alliances.
  • In PwC’s 11th Annual Global CEO Survey, more than half the CEOs said that collaborative networks would become a defining organisational principle for business.

  • Whatever the reason, emerging markets CEOs are more likely to participate in collaboration across business networks that share best practices, promote innovation and mitigate operational risk than CEOs in developed markets.
