Climate change
PwC has two global causes:
Education and climate change. That climate change matters to us makes sense. PwC serves many of the world's largest business organisationsand business is correctly seen as central to both the climate change problem and its remedy. PwC's
sustainability services practice, has, in fact, become a leader in helping companies assess the challenges and opportunities associated with a reduction of their
carbon footprint.
Each of our individual member firms is responding to the need to protect the environment with plans that can be implemented immediately at a local level. These targeted local efforts also form part of a wider initiative being coordinated by PwC's Climate Change Response Group, which brings together representatives from our eight largest firms. The Climate Change Response Group serves as a forum for sharing insights and best practices on environmental matters. It also acts as a decision-making body responsible for the development of a long-term, unified approach to environmental issues that can be applied with local customisation across our entire organisation.
