Here’s what we learned from our 209 respondents:
Automotive respondents report an increase in data loss as a result of security incidents. Compromise of employee and customer records increased significantly over last year, potentially jeopardising an organisation’s most valuable relationships. Also significant: Loss or damage of internal records jumped more than 100%.
Despite the potential consequences, many automotive organisations do not adequately safeguard high-value data. It is imperative that businesses identify, prioritise, and protect their “crown jewels.” Most respondents, however, have not yet implemented basic policies necessary to safeguard their intellectual property.
