Hans Borghouts, leader of the global Risk network, focuses on the development and advancement of the Risk area within the Consulting practice. The area of Risk has become all the more strategic in light of the global economic climate where PwC plays a significant role advising clients on strategic risk and the role of governance.
Hans was a partner with Arthur Andersen before he joined the firm in 2002. He started in the Andersen’s audit practice and moved to consulting in the mid nineties. He played a lead role in establishing Andersen’s business risk and process improvement practice in Europe. Upon joining PwC in 2002 he became a member of the Advisory leadership team in The Netherlands and assumed the responsibility for the global Risk network in 2007.
Throughout his consulting career Hans has assisted global clients like General Electric, Philips, Akzo Nobel, Volvo Car Corporation and Ahold in relation to issues around risk management, compliance and assurance. His current clients include multinationals in the industrial sectors, government agencies and NGO’s to which he provides risk and finance function solutions. Furthermore, Hans serves as Global Relationship partner for Wolters Kluwer/CCH, Heineken and ABN Amro Bank.
