On March 8 each year International Women’s Day is recognised across the globe to celebrate the economic, political and social achievements of women. Research and media are currently dominated with a focus on women in leadership and on corporate boards. However, to achieve sustainable change the public and private sectors must change the conversation: they must also focus on developing talented junior women now for future leadership roles.
To do this organisations must first understand how best to attract, retain and develop the female millennial. Since 2013 PwC has been focused on celebrating the millennial woman and we will continue to do so, marking International Women’s Day this year with the theme ‘The female millennial: a new era of talent’.

To support the broader conversation on gender diversity we are excited to launch our The female millennial: A new era of talent publication.
It shares insights from over 10,000 millennials across 75 countries and teaches you how to position your organisation to attract, engage, retain and develop millennial females.
In 2014, we published Next Generation Diversity: Developing tomorrow’s female leaders.
