The year 2020 is only a decade away, yet the way our global workforce is sourced, organised, and managed will change radically by that time. An explosion of activity in emerging markets has contributed to a significant increase in the need for companies to move people and source talent from all around the world.
The future business world will be markedly different from that of today. Mobilisation strategies will need to progress significantly to keep pace with change and the further increases in assignee numbers. We are not yet consigning existing models for international assignments to the history books, but for organisations to be successful in the coming decade, a radical rethink of policy and processes may be required.
