Our detailed understanding of relevant regulations and legislation drives us to effectively assist our clients with complex reporting and accounting issues involving application of GAAP, or other framework such as Sarbanes-Oxley for SEC registered companies.

Continued growth in our client base has opened up opportunities for motivated individuals to join our Audit practice at Senior Associate level in Athens.

The role:

  • Running the day to day aspects of an audit including team and client management
  • Reporting directly to Managers or above and have significant contact with Engagement Leaders
  • Ensuring that all work is completed and documented in accordance with our methodology
  • Developing the knowledge of junior team members through on the job coaching
  • Reviewing the work of more junior staff
  • Demonstrating strong technical knowledge and having the ability to research issues and discuss conclusions with Managers
  • Building long term relationships with clients in order to enhance client satisfaction

The successful candidate should have:

  • Three to five years of audit experience
  • A professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CA, CPA, IESOEL) completed or at the final stage
  • Excellent academic background from a Greek or foreign university
  • Experience working with IFRS is essential
  • Knowledge of US GAAP will be highly regarded
  • Experience of all steps of audit work (from planning to completion)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multitasked, fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients at all levels.
  • Commitment to providing excellent client relationships
  • Experience in the Shipping, Banking, Insurance, Telecoms industries will be highly regarded.
