Experienced Actuaries

We are seeking to expand our rapidly growing actuarial practice by recruiting qualified or partly qualified actuaries. The succesful candidate will join the existing actuarial team and will engage in a broad range of assurance and advisory projects for its offices in Athens.

The position:

  • Apply actuarial skills and experience to a variety of assignments, maintaining the highest quality of work at all times
  • Taking responsibility for the delivery of tasks, as directed by their project managers
  • Exercising professional judgement in asking for and offering assistance at appropriate times
  • Interacting effectively with clients, in order to understand their needs and respond to queries in a timely manner
  • Building long term relationships with clients in order to increase client satisfaction
  • Seeking opportunities to develop his/her own expertise by taking on greater responsibility and/or more technically demanding work

The successful candidate should have:

  • Spent a minimum of 2 years in the life insurance market, either within an insurance company or a consultancy
  • Experience in financial reporting (IFRS), market consistent techniques and modelling, solvency II or risk management are particularly welcome
  • Made strong exam progress in the actuarial qualification (FIA, FFA, SOA, Greek Institute etc.)
  • A bachelor degree in actuarial science, applied statistics, finance, mathematics, insurance, economics or related quantitative disciplines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including influencing skills
  • A wider commercial awareness including the understanding of wider business issues
  • Demonstrated strong oral, listening and written communication skills
  • The ability to develop good client handling skills, including relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated an aptitude to develop strong project and financial management skills, and possess the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Strong technical, problem identification and analytical skills
