Corporate Responsibility

PwC firms around the world collaborate with the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) to help combat climate change.

Here in Greece we have been supporting WWF Hellas (www.wwf.gr) for 4 years.

In an effort to keep our people informed on climate change and show that it is possible to take action against it, subscriptions to WWF were paid by the firm for our staff. Our offices in Athens and Thessaloniki have participated in WWF’s yearly initiative, 'Earth Hour', the world's largest mass-participation event which provides a compelling demonstration that the perils of global warming can be addressed through the strength of collective action.

And there is no better place to start being environment-friendly than the office. We encourage all our people to help reduce our impact on climate change:

  • by placing recycling bins for paper, plastic, glass, batteries, mobile devices and light bulbs,
  • organising mass electrical appliances recycling initiatives,
  • promoting an environmental use of lighting and printing to save energy,
  • replacing all plastic cups and bags with paper ones
  • and by making the offices ‘greener’ by placing plants on all floors.
