PwC Scholarship for postgraduate studies in Tax Law 2012-2013


EXTENSION of deadline for submission of applications until 29 June 2012
 

PwC is offering one (1) scholarship to study Tax Law on a postgraduate level in a foreign university. The scholarship amounts to 5.000€.

Criteria & Requirements - The candidates must complete the online application form as well as submit the requested documents below in hard copy:  

  1. CV mentioning personal details, studies so far, any work experience the candidate might have and publications, reports and studies of the candidate, if there are any
  2. Undergraduate degree and course grades (if the candidate has not yet completed his/her studies, he/she must provide an average of grade to-date)
  3. 2 recommendation letters from an academic or employer
  4. Certification of acceptance from the university, if applicable. Otherwise, list of desired postgraduate courses applied to
  5. The foreign university ranking based on internationally acclaimed ranking lists
  6. Certification of competency in foreign languages and any awards
  7. An essay explaining the reasons for choosing the desired degree and future academic and professional plans
  8. Official copy of passport or identity card
  9. Official recent copy of criminal record
  10. At the time of application, the candidate should be under 30 years old

Process:

  • Applications must be complete (no missing documents) to be submitted to the Evaluation Committee
  • Eligible candidates will be invited for interviews in July. Only those candidates pre-selected by the Evaluation Committee will be invited to the interviewing phase
  • The final results will be announced in July. Candidates are only successful if they are accepted by their selected university to begin their course in 2012 and submit the certification of acceptance by the 14 September 2012

PwC has been awarding scholarships since 2001 and this initiative is part of our corporate responsibility programme, which is aimed at talented and distinguished young people, with the objective to provide them with guidance towards the right educational and professional path. The central aim is to bridge the gap between market demand and education that exists in Greece. PwC has helped more than 60 students expand their academic knowledge to-date. The Tax Scholarship programme was first introduced in 2010.
