Corporate Responsibility

By focussing on education, we aim to provide solutions to students and talented individuals who need our support, as well as to our own people.

The Scholarships programme – Future Leaders
Our aim is to bridge the gap between education and business needs

Through our scholarships programme we seek to support talented individuals who face financial difficulties, to become future leaders in the market. Since its introduction in 2001, the programme has helped 64 students and executives to fund their postgraduate studies.

Each year, the programme is reviewed and adapted to cover the needs of more and more talented youth. We have opened our programme to other areas of masters degrees, as well as to the ACCA professional qualification and for the first time in 2010 a scholarship for masters in Tax Law.

In addition to the above, we also fund honorary scholarships to the ‘best-in-class’ undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Department of Finance & Banking at the University of Piraeus.

For our community
We help create value in our community by being mentors and advisors, as well as by supporting organisations through pro bono work.

  • We are audit patron for the Fulbright Foundation in Greece (www.fulbright.gr).
"Our collaboration with one of the leading global assurance and consulting network of firms is based on a common vision that education makes the world a better place. Education is the greatest good for society. It is an important investment for the country's future. In this difficult economic period, PwC's pro bono audit work will allow us to save valuable resources to enhance the scholarship program of the Fulbright Foundation.", Artemis Zenetou, Executive Director Fulbright Foundation in Greece
  • We give student support and mentoring to members of AIESEC Hellas (www.aiesec.gr), the largest student organisation in the world. Our support includes an annual sponsorship, leadership presentations and workshops, member mentoring, company visits and student exchanges  for internships.

PwC’s global initiative – The Power of 10
The PwC network of firms has developed the largest initiative in the history of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), 'The Power of 10'. In this unique joint project, PwC has raised funds to provide facilities and education on a sustainable basis at camps in Chad for refugee children from Darfur. The donation made by the firms and staff globally is  the largest donation in the history of the UNHCR. PwC in Greece has made a donation of more than $24,000, including personal donations by our employees as matched by the firm.
