Training And Education

You start learning on day one, with a two week training programme introducing you to the PwC ethos and methodology as well as training with the computer software that the firm utilises.

We ensure that you are constantly aware of your progress and have the opportunity to develop your capabilities and potential. Your contribution and performance will be formally reviewed at least annually in an appraisal meeting with your assigned councillor.

This is an opportunity for open and positive two-way communication between you and your manager. It is designed to identify your strengths as well as identify any areas where performance may need to be enhanced.

In addition, you will receive ongoing and constructive feedback on your client assignments through performance appraisal discussions with your manager.

Graduates will become student members of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and are encouraged to join a training scheme, at the local college, under which they study with external tutors for the examinations of the Association.

The ACCA examinations comprise up to 14 examinations, which are dependant on the relevance of your degree. The examinations are taken in June and December and we will provide study support to help you achieve your professional qualification.

Details of the ACCA examinations and registration can be found on www.accaglobal.com

Professional development of our people through training

Having realised the importance of maintaining up-to-date training and development of staff, the philosophy of PwC is one of continuous learning. A belief held by all, from the Directors to each individual member of staff, this philosophy is rigorously applied to our internal training plan. At PwC we are committed to sharing the knowledge and expertise we have gained in order to assist our clients with the continued improvement, development and excellence of their staff.

Depending on your roles and responsibilities in the organisation you will be from time to time required to attend training courses and seminars organized overseas on a European basis by PwC International. You will also be attending regular local courses with instructors and participants from our office and from abroad.
