Having graduated from the University of Cardiff in 2004, PwC seemed like the only real option for me to enhance my skill set whilst at the same time maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Upon arrival at the firm, I was enrolled onto the ACCA programme which I completed within a period of three years. During this time, PwC provided me with a great deal of support and guidance which was instrumental in helping me to obtain membership status. PwC demonstrated that it is extremely committed to training and to ensuring that staff is always aware of the latest developments and advances within the accountancy profession. That said, I have had the pleasure of travelling to various countries within the EU on training courses, during which I met many people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. With such a wide ranging portfolio of clients, working at PwC has enabled me to acquire extensive experience in many industries such as Banking, Experienced Investor Funds, Investment Managers and local private clients. This has helped to provide me with a solid foundation. As an Assistant Manager within the Assurance & Business Advisory Department, I am now responsible for liaising directly with senior management and partners within the firm and for managing audit teams to ensure that audit deliverables are met. This role is facilitated by the fact that PwC boasts of a team of highly motivated and talented staff which is essential to PwC achieving the high standards expected of it. |
