Tax

Our Tax practice has two distinct departments: tax services and company administration services.

The Tax Service line provides direct tax services to companies and individuals including withholding tax management and indirect tax products such as the VAT and Custom and Excise Duty.

We, in addition to compliance work for our clients, provide tax planning services, tax health checks/audits, client representation and negotiations for and on behalf of our clients in both direct and indirect taxes.

Our client base is spread across multilateral business entities whose sphere of business span many countries. This unique opportunity offers our staff the requisite experience and tools to handle the multifaceted tax obligations of our clients whilst taking advantage of any planning modules offered under any tax jurisdiction.

We link up with our other PwC offices in our service delivery across Africa and other PwC offices worldwide. We offer international tax advice to clients spread across many tax jurisdictions (including specifically Sierra Leone and Liberia).

Our tax group includes both local and international practitioners with many years of experience in both the professional firms and the Ghanaian Revenue authorities.

Our services include:

  • Assisting our clients with the preparation and filing of income tax returns for companies and employees (including expatriate employees). Advice and compliance with the tax laws.
  • Advice and assistance with requiting tax obligation
  • Negotiations on behalf of clients with the Commissioners of Internal Revenue, VAT Service and CEPS, objecting on behalf of the client to excessive assessment raised on clients and representations at the tax offices on client behalf.
