William Phillips is the leader of PwC's global Employment Law Network, and the head of PwC France’s Employment practice. Bill has overseen some of the firm's largest multi-territory employment projects.
Bill began his career as an employment lawyer in Paris over 25 years ago, helping foreign companies, across a wide range of industries, navigate France's labour regulations, in the context of acquisitions, post-deal integrations and restructuring.
He has also developed a significant practice in international mobility (conflicts of laws, immigration, social protection) that has grown organically with the globalisation of labour and business delivery models.
A member of the New York and French (Hauts de Seine) bars, Bill holds degrees in both French and American law – a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School (1985), and an LLM in Private International Law from Université de Paris 1 (1988).
