John Cannings, Partner
John is a well known commercial lawyer with over twenty years experience in all aspects of corporate and commercial law. He specialises in corporate and securities law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring and cross border transactions, joint ventures, strategic alliances and financing arrangements. John also has a special interest in the pharmaceutical industry and is the honorary solicitor for and non-executive director of Ian Thorpe’s Foundation for Youth, a charitable trust for the alleviation of illness and sickness in children.

Andrew Wheeler, Partner
Andrew is a corporate lawyer who specialises in advising companies on private and public capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring and financing transactions. Andrew works closely with tax, transactions and other specialists within PricewaterhouseCoopers in the provision of seamless professional services to domestic and international clients.
Andrew has worked in commercial roles in the United States and understands the desire of clients to be provided with practical legal solutions.

Jon Cane, Director
Jon has 13 years experience in corporate and commercial work, acting in mergers and acquisitions, floatations and secondary fundraising, corporate advisory and restructuring work including demergers, and private equity transactions. In particular, Jon acts for clients in areas including:
- providing assistance to companies raising capital from potential investors (such as private equity houses) in exchange for a stake in the company, ensuring that the protections required for the business are obtained (such as confidentiality), and negotiating the protections required by the investor to ensure they do not impede the running of the business;
- advising companies on the sale of part or all of their business, whether to a trade buyer or a private equity investor, together with advising existing management in the event that they will be involved in the business going forward (particularly in a management buy-out situation); and
- advising purchasers of assets or companies, including conducting due diligence, negotiating the purchase and implementing post-completion steps as required.
