From the information available in these databases, comparable transactions entered into by independent third parties and companies undertaking similar functions, bearing similar risks and possessing similar assets as the tested party can be identified.
For the application of profit-based methods, manufacturers, service providers and distributors whose business activity is similar to the tested party’s can be identified with the use of AMADEUS, which is an internationally well-known database used by both taxpayers and tax authorities. The AMADEUS database contains not only industry-specific but also financial information about European companies.
For the transfer pricing analysis of intercompany loans, our team-members use several international databases. To estimate the affiliated borrower’s creditworthiness, we use a credit-rating software programme developed by an international rating agency. Money market and capital market information are also available in our databases.
