Aidan Walsh is the Partner-in-Charge of the Corporate Finance practice in PwC Ireland. Aidan’s client responsibilities focus primarily on financial transactions including acquisitions and disposals, finance raising and valuations. He has extensive experience of helping Irish companies with their business development, planning and performance processes and has been responsible for developing our services in the Public Private Partnership market.

Previous assignments include:

  • Secondment to the Vhi as Acting Chief Executive during 1997-1998. Aidan undertook a review of the business development requirements of the Vhi, directed a change in the structure of contract arrangements with private hospitals, initiated negotiations with the Department of Health and Children on changes in the corporate structure and mandate of Vhi, and initiated negotiations on the attraction of new capital
  • Led the multidisciplinary team advising the Department of Transport on the restructuring of Aer Rianta and the financial issues associated with the demerger of CIE
  • Advised the Department of the Environment and Local Government, Department of Finance and Department of Public Enterprise on landmark PPP assignments
  • Lead advisor to the NRA on the planning, control and realistic funding options for the national roads programme
  • Lead advisor to Dublin City Council on the procurement of the Dublin Waste to Energy project
  • Financial Adviser to Mount Carmel Medical on financing private hospitals
  • Advisor to several family owned companies on acquisitions in Ireland and Britain
  • Advisor to several foreign owned groups on disposals of Irish subsidiaries
