Rhys is an Associate Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers' South Island Business Recovery Services team. He specialises as an Insolvency Practitioner including administering liquidations, receiverships and providing advisory services to businesses experiencing financial difficulties, either as the debtor or the creditor.
Rhys joined the team at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2006 and is one of the South Island 's most experienced insolvency specialists. He brings to the firm in excess of 20 years professional experience with the New Zealand Insolvency and Trustee Service. He was previously the Official Assignee for the South Island where he managed business-related bankruptcies, liquidations and Proceeds of Crime activities. He has been actively involved in the administration of more than 500 company liquidations.
His work embraces a broad spectrum of business recovery and business advisory services to a wide range of clients. Having worked extensively in both Dunedin and Christchurch, he has a far-reaching network of contacts and clients nationally, but in particular throughout the South Island.
Rhys provides independent and practical advice to his clients and, in particular, he develops solutions to problematic situations. His experience is invaluable when handling often highly emotionally charged situations with a calm, approachable manner to achieve the best possible outcome.
